A new skyscraper planned for Croydon, South London, could boast Europe’s highest bar.

One Lansdowne Road will be made up of two tower blocks, one of 51 and one of 65 storeys, which will be linked on the 14th floor by a 25m-long glass-bottomed suspended swimming pool. The bar will sit on the roof of the tallest block. The £500 million development is being constructed by the China Building Technique Group Company, and one of the men behind it said he hoped it would help ‘put Croydon on the map’.
