About Claire
Ever since I could remember, I have spent my free time exploring new parts of the world. I started out by teaching English in Thailand, India and France. It then evolved into writing about travel and foreign affairs. I currently work at The Economist where I am involved in multimedia storytelling. Prior to that, I wrote about art and travel for publications including the i newspaper and Condé Nast Johansens. I am particularly interested in African countries, ecotourism and ocean tourism. Some of my most memorable trips to date include Malawi, Bangladesh and Chile.
