Former crime-busting private investigator turned full-time writer, I've written best-selling true crime books, written for national newspapers and magazines, appeared on TV, and served as a contributing editor for a weekly newspaper chain. For the past four years I've focused on my passion: travel writing. I worked as a columnist at International Living magazine ("Gumshoe in Paradise"), as an Expert Contributor for TravelAwaits.com, and I've co-written four Lonely Planet guidebooks (and provided online articles for LP) thus far.
