About Erin
Born and raised in the forests of Washington state, I've been an avid explorer and storyteller of nature's outdoor environments since I could walk and talk. The daughter of a forester and a flight attendant, my core values include an appreciation of destinations that encapsulate history, recreation and Indigenous culture into every facet of tourism. Since 2009, I have specialized in Alaska, and have hiked, biked, flown, paddled and pedaled every region of The Great Land in an effort to introduce more people to the state's lesser-traveled spaces, and most notably children and families.
A member of the Lonely Planet team since 2022, I was Lead Writer on the Alaska guidebook, contributed to Offbeat North America, and wrote several digital and sponsored stories related to this very special destination that draws nearly three million visitors each year.
To me, there is nothing more satisfying than providing future Alaska or Pacific Northwest visitors with the practical tools and unique stories of their intended destinations.
