About Natalia
I’m an editor, writer and co-founder of Chefugee, a project that collaborates with refugee cooks to host culinary events in Madrid. Originally from the Philippines, I moved to the Spanish capital in the 2000s, where I first worked as an English teacher and later on as a speechwriter for a United Nations specialized agency. Some of my most memorable travel experiences are scuba diving the wrecks in Coron Island (southern Philippines), backpacking (and eating my way) across Mexico and visiting a farming community in Sierra Leone.
