About Valerie
I'm a travel and space tourism writer who grew up in Alaska. Since then, I've lived all over the U.S. and spent a year in London, but my favorite place to visit – and write about – is the American West. I also love stargazing, watching the aurora, and chasing eclipses around the globe. I wrote the book Dark Skies: A Practical Guide to Astrotourism for Lonely Planet.
