With stunning tunnel views of the ocean and the surrounding mountains, the Tiing Tejakula Villas resort in Bali has recently been described as an Instagrammers dream thanks to its stylish and sleek design. The establishment has also just been named hospitality building of the year, chosen by public vote in the category under the 2020 Dezeen Awards.
Located at the foothills of the mountains near black sand beaches in Kabupaten Buleleng, the villas are surrounded by beautiful lush natural scenery. The luxury resort is made up of 14 different villas, all of which have been designed in a stylish and modern way with natural, local materials such as bamboo and stone. With exceptional views onto the sea, the getaway’s eye-catching design has proven a hit, with over 60,000 people voting for it in Dezeen Awards 2020 under the category of best hospitality building.
As well as filling their Instagram feeds with aesthetically pleasing spaces and relaxing near the coastline, guests can dine at Jangki Restaurant on site and try fresh organic produce that arrives from local fields, along with seafood drawn from the ocean nearby. There’s also a luxury spa and a yoga studio with open views of the sea, the option to go snorkeling and to have a “floating breakfast” at the pool in the morning time.
The rooms have been designed with large concrete walls that create a visual tunnel towards the sea and to the mountains, while small courtyards have little trees and bamboo features. Given the current situation with COVID-19, guests can easily socially isolate at the villas thanks to the design of the self-contained units. More information on The Tiing Hotel is available at the official Luwak Resort website.
