Doha Fort

Doha

Previously used as both a prison and as an ethnographic museum, this fort was built during the 19th-century Turkish occupation but lost many of its original features during restoration in the late 1970s. It's not currently in use, but the structure is visible from the road and makes for a good point of reference when exploring nearby Souq Waqif.
