Roman Road

Eastern Mediterranean

A wonderful 60m-long stretch of Roman road was uncovered in the heart of the Old City in 1993; note the herringbone design and the sewer system directly beneath it. Just west is a colonnaded platform with a Roman house dating to the 4th or 5th century AD.
