It might be crowded out by skyscrapers these days, but Brisbane's Customs House (1889) continues to cut a very fine figure with its elegant Corinthian columns and copper dome. For almost a century, this was where ships heading into Brisbane’s port were required to pay duties. Its current tenants include the University of Queensland and an elegant restaurant. Check out the fascinating old port photos in the foyer.
